The main function of NCSA is to provide educational opportunities. Our standard weekly meeting includes a brief discussion on current tech news followed by a presentation by one of our members on a particular technology or project they have worked with recently.
NCSA members may choose to join one of our teams listed below. Our teams provide services to clients and support the projects of our members.
Teams hold regular meetings to discuss the progress of ongoing tasks and track ticket information using Trello. The team structure provides an opportunity for our members to gain experience in a collaborative, enterprise environment.

Systems team maintains the infrastructure of NCSA's services. They manage the physical and virtual servers to provide both external and internal services. Systems handles NCSA's licensing and patch-management.

Dev team is responsible for incubating application-level solutions for NCSA and it's customers. These projects often involve software development, software maintenance, application integration, testing, and the wider field of dev-ops.

Networking team optimizes the network for NCSA. They configure networking devices inside the NCSA service rack and facilitate connections to client sites.

Security team audits the NCSA systems and networks for vulnerabilities. They are responsible for prevention, detection, and remediation of security risks. Upon discovering vulnerabilities, Security team works with the other teams to solve issues.
